Twigg deal to join Ballymena has been withdrawn
Gary Twigg will not be joining Ballymena United in the summer despite having previously agreed a pre-contract with the Sky Blues.
The Showgrounds club announced last night that Portadown striker Twigg has asked for the contract to be withdrawn.
“Ballymena United would like to clarify recent speculation with regards to Gary Twigg,” the club said in a statement.
“A pre-contractual agreement had been in place for Gary to join the Sky Blues at the opening of the next transfer window. The player has had a change of heart and asked for the contract to be withdrawn.
“The Club have respected his wishes and the transfer will no longer proceed.“
