Hundreds of bikers, marshals and members of the public joined Isle of Man TT rider Daniel Ingham's widow on Friday as she completed a memorial lap of the Mountain Course to "finish the lap he never got to."

Ingham, 33, died after crashing on the opening lap of a qualifying session at Doran’s Bend at the TT on May 27.

His widow, Helayna Ingham, said the last few months had been "heartbreaking", but added that she and her two children had been carried by the support of "the incredible racing community".

"People travelling from all over to be there for Dan means more to me than I could ever put into words," she said told BBC Isle of Man.

Hundreds more people lined the 37.73-mile course course to show their support as the procession made its way around the Mountain Course.

Helayna said the island and its racing traditions had held a special place in her husband's life.

"The Isle of Man, Manx Grand Prix and the TT were such a huge part of Dan's life," she said.

"It was where he chased his dreams, made lifelong friendships and created some of his happiest memories."

She added that since her husband's death in May, it had been "the hardest and most heartbreaking time of our lives."

Her family were "taking it one step, one day at a time," she said, supported by family, friends and "the incredible racing community."

Ingham was an experienced Mountain Course competitor, having raced in the Manx Grand Prix since 2016. He won the prestigious Senior MGP in 2024.

A newcomer at the 2026 Isle of Man TT, he also made his debut at the North West 200 in May.

Helayna said that by organising the event, "we bring Dan back to the island he loved”.
