New date confirmed for weather-postponed Enkalon Trophy race in 50th year of famous short circuit meeting
The 50th Enkalon Trophy short circuit meeting has been rescheduled for September 12 at Bishopscourt in Co Down following a weather-related postponement over Easter.
The famous race was due to host the first round of the 2026 Ulster Superbike Championship on Easter Saturday, but the organising Motor Cycle Road Racing Club of Ireland (MCRRCI) called the event off in advance of Storm Dave, with a yellow warning for wind in Northern Ireland issued by the Met Office.

The new season roared off at Kirkistown on Easter Monday with the first round of the Belfast and District Club’s ‘Big 3 Series’, when reigning champion Carl Phillips secured a Superbike double on the Bell Bikesport/B&W Racing BMW and set a new outright lap record around the 1.5-mile track.
The next round of the championship will be held at Bishopscourt on April 18.
In a statement confirming the new date for the famous Enkalon Trophy race, the MCRRCI said: “We can now confirm that the 50th Enkalon Trophy event is now rescheduled for Saturday 12th September at Bishopscourt Race Circuit.
“All entries submitted will be held until the September date unless a refund is requested.
“This will keep the nine rounds of the USBK Championship intact and will release further details over the coming months.”
McAdoo Racing Kawasaki’s Korie McGreevy won the Enkalon trophy for the first time last year.
The Ballynahinch man will be eager to retain the silverware later this year and challenge for the Ulster Superbike title, which McGreevy says is his top objective for 2026.
The Enkalon Trophy was first contested in 1975 at Aghadowey, when legendary Dromara Destroyer Ray McCullough was the inaugural winner of the famous old trophy.
