Rowing: Coleraine rowers progress to semi-finals at World Championships

Coleraine trio Alan Campbell and Richard and Peter Chambers all progressed to the semi-finals of the Rowing World Championships on Wednesday.

Richard Chambers and England’s Will Fletcher won their lightweight men’s double sculls quarter-final.

Peter Chambers was successful in the repechage as part of the GB men’s lightweight four.

And in the single sculls Campbell finished second behind defending world champion Ondrej Synek.

Joel Cassells – also from Coleraine – qualified for the semi-finals of the lightweight men’s pairs non-Olympic event on Monday.
