Curtis Moorhead, the young Derriaghy left-arm spinner, pulled out because he is celebrating his 21st birthday tonight. He notified the selectors several days ago.

Moorhead’s team-mate and club captain Craig Lewis, who like him made his debut in Friday’s Twenty20 defeat by the Warriors at Strabane has also withdrawn, citing an injured knee.

Lewis sustained the injury during Saturday’s league defeat by Waringstown.

Jacob Mulder, the North Down leg-spinner, has also pulled out.

He will instead play for North Down in tomorrow’s crunch Premier League match against Civil Service North.
