TRI Equestrian unveiled as series sponsors

The Ulster Region committee of Showjumping Ireland has unveiled TRI Equestrian NI as the 2016 title sponsor for both the Spring Pony Series and the Ulster Region Development League.

Speaking at the launch of the TRI Equestrian series, Manager of TRI Equestrian Northern Ireland Gareth McCombe said: “All at TRI Equestrian are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious series.We look forward to raising the profile of this series furthermore over the next three years and aim to insure that all our riders from grass roots to the riders at the top level of our sport want to be involved.”

PONY SERIES

Kicking off the pony series will be the Cavan Equestrian Centre’s Easter Pony Weekend, 25-27th March. The series will run with nine legs with rounds in all corners of the province and classes ranging from 128 50cm to Children On Horses 1.20m which this year also caters for Junior riders. The series culminates in a finale at the Meadows Equestrian Centre on 25th June.

Following the success of the 2015 Pony Tour, newly appointed chairperson of the Ulster Region Pony committee Chris Bogle said: “The TRI Equestrian Spring Pony Series will once again provide a prestigious platform for both the novice athlete and pony as well as the seasoned campaigner.

“We are delighted to have TRI Equestrian as our new sponsor and their support of both the Series and Development League.”

Following the 2015 Summer Tour which crowned Jordan Coyle as the 2015 1.35m Champion, 2016 sees the TRI Equestrian Ulster Region Development League create a spectacular launch pad for 1m, 1.10, 1.20m and 1.35m athletes

The 2016 TRI Equestrian Development league will see a total of 18 legs played out across the Ulster Region. Portmore Equestrian Centre will host the first leg of the Tour on 1st May with the league coming to a close in a grand finale at Balmoral Park on 3rd September.
