The final cup draws for both the Men's and Women's Irish Senior Cup & Irish Junior Cup semi-finals took place on Wednesday morning.

It will be a battle of international team-mates in the women’s senior cup with no fewer than 14 current squad members of the Green Army facing off against each other.

It was honours even between Elks and UCD when they met at Belfield in the EY Hockey League, prior to Christmas.

The Elks will enjoy home advantage and be hoping Irish captain Megan Frazer will be fully recovered from an injury she picked up while on international duty.

Ards face the task of toppling the undefeated Hermes who have dispatched 18 goals on their run to the semi-finals.

With Emma Gray in goal for Hermes it’ll take patience and precision from Ards but they’ve proven themselves already this season with their most recent 2-0 victory over Elks in the EYHL.

While in the men’s Irish Senior Cup Monkstown must travel to Glenanne Park to face the only team who have beaten them in the EYHL this season.

South African International Shannon Boucher has been in flying form for Glenanne as he fired them into the semi-finals with a 5-3 victory over YMCA, as well as scoring twice in the Glen’s 3-2 victory over Monkstown in the EYHL.

But Monkstown will be confident heading into the fixture with a plethora of experienced players on their panel as well as Jonny Caren, Green Machine assistant coach, at the helm.

Lisnagarvey will welcome Three Rock Rovers to Comber Road where they’ll have to dispatch the ball past the continuously impressive Jamie Carr in the Rovers goal if they’re to claim victory.

But Garvey seem to have mastered the combination of youth and experience with Sean Murray and Timmy Cockram regularly on their scoresheet, helping them currently claim top spot of the EY Hockey League.

DRAW: Ulster Elks v UCD and Hermes HC v Ards HC

Men’s ISC semi-finals:

Glenanne v Monkstown, Lisnagarvey v Three Rock Rovers.
