Stars align for 2021 Londonderry festival

With lockdown wiping out the 2020 festival season, Londonderr- based social enterprise Music Capital is giving fans something to look forward to in summer 2021.

The iconic Gloria Gaynor, hard partying wiseguys, Fun Loving Criminals ,and local heroes, ASIWYFA will be hitting the stage at St Columb’s Park on July 2, 3 and 4, 2021 and tickets are on sale now.

Support for the three-day festival, Northbound Sounds, will come from the best live bands from the Northwest and beyond, including Catalan, KILA, General Fiasco and many more.

Friday July 2 sees New York City party band, Fun Loving Criminals, headline the first night of this brand new festival.

With hits like Scooby Snacks, Love Unlimited and King of New York, the Fun Loving Criminals take you on a joyride through the city that never sleeps.Full support on the night includes The Scratch, KILA, Roe, Waltdorf &Cannon, Dirty Faces and many more to be confirmed.

Saturday sees the return of North Coast post-rock legends, And So I Watch You From Afar.

With a decade-spanning career, five amazing albums and a ferocious live reputation, ASIWYFA are one of the most vital bands to emerge from this island in recent memory. Saturday’s support includes General Fiasco, Brand New Friend, Bicurious and Cherym.
