Garth Brooks has announced he will be playing five concerts in Croke Park for September 2022.

It has been seven years since Garth Brooks was meant to perform in Croke Park in 2014, with those five shows having to be cancelled.

Fans will once again be thrilled to be able to see the singer live.

Brooks was originally only signed to play two Croke Park concerts in September 2022, but due to popular demand, three additional dates were added to help meet with the demand for tickets.

So far, over 400,000 concert tickets have been sold.

There are two ticket prices available.

Seated ticket prices are 81.00 Euro.

GA tickets are priced at 65.45 Euro.

Tickets went on sale on Thursday, November 25, at 8am at with people queueing in their thousands to get their hands on them.

Minutes after the first two concert tickets went on sale, nearly 300,000 people were in the queue.

The country singer took to Twitter to comment on the news saying, 'IRELAND!!!!! Just waking up to the news!!!! Unbelievable !!!!! All my love to you!!! love, g'

Brooks was originally scheduled to play five concerts in a row at Croke Park in 2014, however due to resident objection these gigs had to be cancelled and over 400,000 tickets had to be refunded.

Residents groups have reacted to Brooks' 2022 concerts, calling the five planned, "unacceptable", but even with these concerns voiced, the concerts are still to go ahead as planned.
