Over 300 business leaders and changemakers to gather in Belfast for Women in Business’ landmark conference
Women in Business will bring together a high-profile line-up of local and international leaders as it marks a decade of its flagship female leadership event
Northern Ireland’s leading female leadership event will return on November 12, bringing more than 300 business leaders and changemakers together to mark a decade of leadership, insight and inspiration.

The Women in Business Voices of Leadership conference will celebrate its 10th anniversary under the theme ‘Shaping What Matters’, exploring how leaders can respond to the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of work and society.
Over the past decade, the conference has become a key fixture on Northern Ireland’s business calendar, bringing together voices from industry, academia, government and the third sector to share experience, challenge thinking and inspire positive change.
Taking place at Belfast’s Hilton Hotel, this year’s event will feature internationally recognised business leader, board adviser and social sustainability advocate Margot Slattery as a keynote speaker.
Slattery is known for helping global organisations embed social impact, diversity, inclusion and belonging into their business strategies.
She will be joined by a strong line-up of speakers including Sarah Murphy, founder and CEO of Conexus; Fiacre O’Donnell, sustainability director at Vidrala; occupational psychologist, author and leadership expert Dr Ines Wichert; Agnes Lunny, co-founder of Positive Futures; Erin McFeely, director NI at Alchemy; and Melanie McMordie, client managing director at event partner Fujitsu.
Caroline Coyle, director of Women in Business, said leadership today requires a strong voice on inclusion, sustainability and investment in the future workforce.
“For 10 years, our conference has challenged leaders to not only empower those around them, but to navigate with confidence the complexities and ever-present change that defines the modern business landscape,” she said.
The one-day conference will again be hosted by broadcaster Donna Traynor and will provide a platform for local and international voices to explore the issues that matter most to leaders today.
Coyle added: “This year’s exceptional line-up of speakers is reflective of that, as we bring together voices of leadership both local and international to focus on the issues that truly matter today, and how we can collectively shape the next decade and more through leadership that is fair and future-focused.”
NIE Networks returns as title sponsor, with Belfast City Council and Fujitsu also supporting the event.
Helen Sullivan, chief people and culture officer at NIE, said: “The conversation about female leadership needs to keep moving forward – from representation to progression and from ambition to action.”
She highlighted the particular importance of strengthening female representation in STEM, engineering and energy, where women remain under-represented.
“Events like Voices of Leadership provide a fantastic opportunity to bring us together to challenge thinking, share experiences and create connections that can translate into real change,” she said.
