'Delivering a high-quality service': Northern Ireland accountancy firm strengthens audit team with two senior appointments
Belfast accountancy firm appoints Jayce Bautista and Jeffrey Laryea as audit managers
Belfast accountancy firm Sumer Northern Ireland has strengthened its audit team with two new appointments as it continues to support businesses across the UK and international markets.

Jayce Bautista and Jeffrey Laryea have joined the firm as corporate audit manager and audit manager respectively, bringing experience in financial management, risk assessment and audit processes.
Sumer NI’s 44-strong audit team delivers more than 200 individual audit engagements for small and medium-sized enterprises, owner-managed businesses, large groups and foreign direct investment entities.
Jayce brings international experience, having previously worked in the Philippines. He holds an MBA in financial management and is currently completing a PhD in international accountancy.
In his new role, he will lead client and team engagements, identify risks, mentor junior staff and explore opportunities to improve processes through innovation, technology and automation.
Jeffrey, an accountancy graduate and member of both ACA and CIMA, joins with experience in risk assessment, internal controls and stakeholder management.
He will provide clients with technical expertise in audit, financial reporting and risk management, alongside tailored advice to support their businesses.
Brian Clerkin, managing partner at Sumer NI, said the appointments would strengthen the firm’s ability to respond to the changing demands of audit.
“The role of audit is changing rapidly and having a firm understanding of business operations and the wider landscape has never been more essential to delivering a high-quality service to our corporate audit clients,” he said.
“Audit is one of our key services, and our team brings a broad range of experience and knowledge across many aspects of the function, which enables us to provide clients with strategic insight that goes far beyond compliance.
“These latest appointments will further reinforce our capabilities, ensuring that we continue to offer a comprehensive, proactive and commercially focused service to businesses across a wide range of sectors and marketplaces.”
Sumer Northern Ireland said it was also recruiting for a number of roles across different levels and departments.
