Pig farmer convicted at Newry Court
A pig farmer has been convicted at Newry Magistrates' Court of one charge of failing to keep records for his pig herd and one charge of failing to comply with a pig herd restriction notice.
James Marmion, of Seavers Road, Cloughoe, pleaded guilty today, (Monday, 15th August) and was fined £400.
The case arose from discrepancies found at a Pig Identification Inspection or audit of Marmion’s herd carried out by the Veterinary Service Enforcement Branch.
