He was detained following a report of a man armed with a knife in the Oakvale Gardens area of Dunmurry, a cul-de-sac-type residential neighbourhood in the south west of Belfast, on Friday.

He is now free on police bail pending further inquiries.

The knife has a handle in the shape of an German-style eagle, with a swastika on the hilt, and what appears to be the phrase “urbeit adelt” on the blade (meaning ‘work dignifies’).
