Woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Cookstown stabbing
A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the thighs and chest in Cookstown yesterday.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident in the Church Street area of the town on Sunday, which was attended by the NI Air Ambulance.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "At approximately 8am a 42-year-old man had been found stabbed at the rear of a property in the Cookstown area.
"He had suffered stab wounds to both thighs and chest. The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
"A 42-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. She has since been released on bail pending further police enquiries
