Funeral takes place of tragic stabbing victim Eddie Girvan

The funeral has taken place of 67-year-old Eddie Girvan who was found dead at his home on Station Road in Greenisland on January 18.

His hands had been tied behind his back and he had suffered a stab wound to his chest.

A 29-year-old woman last week appeared at Belfast Magistrates’ Court charged with his murder.

Mr Girvan’s funeral took place at 1.30pm today in Carrickfergus.

A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will be held in Mulhollands Funeral Home followed by interment in Victoria Cemetery.
