Police, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended, but sadly the 34-year-old succumbed to her injuries.

The road was closed for a time between the New Line Road and the Bog Road.

DUP MLA Deborah Erskine labelled Ms Kavanagh’s death as “absolutely devastating news”.

She added: “Fermanagh and South Tyrone has been plunged into a deep sense of sadness in very recent times.

“My heart goes out to the family and friends of this woman. They will feel her loss most acutely.

“I pay tribute to the Police and Ambulance services who attended the scene."

UUP MLA Diana Armstrong also passed on her condolences: "My thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this very difficult time. It has been a distressing period on our roads in recent weeks, and once again I would urge everyone to take extra care when travelling.”

Meanwhile, police say their investigation is continuing and officers would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has digital footage which could assist with the investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1735 17/03/26.

No funeral arrangements have been public as yet.
