Conrad Cummings looking to get back on track with victory over Victor Garcia

Conrad Cummings will look to get back to winning ways when he takes to the ring in Manchester on Saturday night.

Cummings faces Victor Garcia on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s IBF and WBA showdown against Scott Quigg, trying to regroup after drawing with Alfredo Meli in his last outing.

Cummings is a huge favourite to win the fight at the weekend but he says he will be taking nothing for granted.

“I reckon this guy is actually a decent fighter and a look at his record will show that he is not a bad fighter.

“I have been preparing very thoroughly for the contest, which is an incredible opportunity for me as part of the undercard on what is the biggest fight anywhere in these islands throughout this year.

“I can’t tell you how much it means to me to have been given the chance to enhance my career on this bill, and training alongside Carl has been a revelation and I think I am in the shape of my life right now.”

And Cummings says he is delighted to be fighting on a PPV show in front of millions of people.
