Charity receives cheque from Santa ride

Ian Hasson explained that the money raised will be used to help buy land for growing food crops for their partner organisation – His Grace Ministries at Butangaala.

Previous Christmas Charity Rides also helped establish a church there as well as a primary school where over 60 of the 380 children are sponsored.

This year will be the 10th anniversary of the Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride and Joan has big hopes for the event.

She said: “We are pulling out all the stops to make this the best ride ever and are appealing to all the Santas from all over the country to mount up on Saturday, December 3, 2016 and ride into Saintfield town.”
