Busy night for police across Antrim and Newtownabbey

PSNI officers in the Antrim and Newtownabbey district received 84 calls for service between 7pm on Saturday, May 30 and 7am on Sunday, May 31.

Detailing the incidents on Sunday afternoon, a police spokesperson said: “Not all of those required police attendance, however that’s still a hefty night’s work.

“These calls ranged from anti-social behaviour related incidents, noisy parties, neighbour disputes, assaults and missing persons.

“There were arrests for criminal damage, assaults on police, common assault and drink driving. Antrim custody had a full house from last night’s activities- 10 cells and no spaces.”
