In a fresh appeal for information yesterday, Detective Chief Inspector Richard Campbell said: “This was a brutal attack. It has robbed a family of a partner, father and brother and it is important the local community help us find those responsible. I would urge anyone with information to contact detectives on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111.”
