Two water cannons, located near the Sandyknowes roundabout in Newtownabbey, were fired by police towards demonstrators who had lit fires in the street.

In a statement, police say that missiles are being thrown at officers who have now deployed the water cannon in an attempt to maintain public order.

It marks the second night of disturbances following a knife attack in north Belfast on Monday.

The protestors walked up the hill and gathered at the Edward Carson statue.

The crowd dispersed after the demonstration, which passed without incident.
