We must resist any NI-GB Brexit split

Is there anything that '˜remoaners' will not say or do to stop Brexit for their own selfish reasons?

We have a Tory rebel, Ken Clarke, speaking to the local media and using Brexit as a threat to the peace in Northern Ireland.

I would like to ask the question to Mr Clarke, and any other person that would want to separate Northern Ireland from the rest of the UK using the threat of violence as a lever: Who is going to carry out this violence?

Mr Clarke mentioned the UK staying in the single market and customs union.

This would mean continuing with free movement, one of the main reasons for people voting to leave. He even concurs with republicans and many nationalists that, failing us remaining, the border should be in the Irish sea.

I believe unionists need to make clear to people like Clarke and all the other ‘remoaners’ that any attempt to separate us from the UK single market, or make us of a different status from the rest of the UK, will be met with the strongest of opposition. If anything threatens the so called peace, it is this.

Unionists must never let themselves be used as a pawn for the enemies of the UK to dilute our Britishness!
