Snow and ice warning for NI: Be careful on the roads, say DfI
The Department for Infrastructure at Stormont has issued an early-spring warning to drivers over snow and ice.
A spokesperson for the Department’s winter roads service said: “Temperatures are forecast to fall below freezing and there is a risk of snow (on high ground) and ice on roads.
“The Salting of roads on the scheduled network considered to be at risk has commenced Friday evening with further salting planned in the early hours of Saturday morning.”
The spokesperson added: “Road users are advised to exercise caution when travelling, particularly when driving on untreated roads.”
