With attendances restricted this season due to Covid restrictions Danske Bank Premiership clubs have been looking at the possibility of streaming games for fans unable to attend.

BBC Sport NI will also stream 50 Irish Premiership matches live over the course of the upcoming season on the BBC Sport NI website and on BBCiPlayer.

They will also show 12 live matches from the NIFL Premiership and Irish Cup on television, as well as live coverage of the 2021 Irish Cup final.

Clubs though want to make sure there is an option to view their homes games if they are not being broadcast by the BBC.

A statement on the Cliftonville website said: "With Covid restrictions heavily reducing attendances at home games and our Club Card scheme fully subscribed, we are aware that many loyal supporters are facing up to the prospect of seeing very little live football in the coming months and hope that this initiative will help you retain a vital matchday connection with your beloved Reds.

"Starting with Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership opener with Glentoran, live match coverage can be purchased for just £7 (which includes access to a full replay of the action), while a delayed stream will cost £3."
