WATCH: 'On fire' Irish League star scores stunning long-range goal - and not for the first time this season
Michael Morgan praised Ballyclare Comrades teammate Brian Healy who “can’t stop scoring” after his stunning long-range effort helped Stephen Small’s side secure a 2-0 victory over Championship high-flyers H&W Welders – and it’s not the first screamer he’s netted this season.
Healy, who joined on a season-long loan from Newry City ahead of this term, has been Ballyclare’s form player with Saturday’s strike bringing his tally to seven in 11 league appearances.
The 20-year-old, who registered a hat-trick against Ards last month and also scored in their narrow 3-2 Co Antrim Shield defeat to Premiership leaders Linfield, picked the ball up on the halfway line, took a few steps forward and launched his effort over the head of Jack Mills.
It marks Healy’s second long-range stunner of the campaign having also scored from distance in a 3-1 September victory against Institute at the Brandywell.
"Cillin (Gilmour) is taking the credit for telling him to hit it because the keeper was well off his line,” Morgan told the club’s media channel. “Brian has done it before against Institute and talks about doing it all the time, so he's confident and even if he misses he will try it again.
"He has hit it well and it has went in. He can't stop scoring. He said himself he didn't have the best start to the season but since the Linfield game he has been on fire and scored in nearly every game which is what you want as a striker - you want to be scoring and creating chances."
Former Cliftonville youngster Morgan was also on the scoresheet at Blanchflower Park as Ballyclare recorded a second consecutive Championship win following last weekend’s success away to Limavady United.
The 19-year-old celebrated his fifth league goal of the season and hopes Saturday’s strike is a sign of things to come.

"I picked up a knock in the first half against Dundela (earlier this month) and it kept me out last week but I got a good week of training and Stevie decided to throw me in,” he added. “I hadn't scored in a while, my last goal was against Institute, so I was on a drought.
“I'm happy to get that goal. I had the chance before which hit the post and they didn't seem to want to tackle me in the box...I'm happy to get back on the scoresheet."
