Manx Grand Prix: Johnny Stewart makes history with unprecedented four-timer after dominant victory in Senior race
Scotland’s Johnny Stewart made history at the Manx Grand Prix as he became the first rider to secure a four-timer with another dominant success in the blue riband Okell’s Senior race.
Limavady’s Graham McAleese sealed the final place on the podium in third behind Bedfordshire’s Eddy Wormald.
On Saturday, Stewart became the first rider to win two races in a day at the event with a Sportbike and Supersport double.
He matched the late Dan Kneen’s 2008 hat-trick feat after winning the Junior MGP race on Monday, which was declared a result after two laps when Ireland’s Liam Chawke crashed at the Black Dub, resulting in a red flag.

Stewart then completed an unprecedented clean sweep as he powered to a commanding victory on the LPA Racing Ducati Panigale V2 in the four-lap Senior MGP finale.
His winning margin was almost 36 seconds over Wormald (Sponsorless Racing Suzuki GSX-R750), who secured the runner-up spot by just under 11 seconds from McAleese (MD/GMAC Racing Yamaha R6).
Stewart recorded a new race record for the four-lap Senior MGP in 1h 15m 24.360s, which was 33 seconds faster than Donegal man Caomhan Canny’s winning time from 2025.
Newcomer Kevin Lavery finished seventh on the Traynors Motorstore Yamaha R6 in another fine result for the Dungannon man, who sealed a sensational podium on his debut in Saturday’s Sportbike race.
In glorious conditions on the Isle of Man, Stewart was 12.508s ahead of Wormald after clocking an opening lap of 121.585mph.
McAleese had moved up to third on corrected time, three seconds ahead of Owen Monaghan and 11 seconds adrift of Wormald in second.
Chris Cook, runner-up in last year’s Senior MGP, retired on the first lap.
Lavery, who retired from the Supersport race on Saturday, was classified in sixth after lap one.
Stewart recorded a blistering second lap at 122.038mph as he slowed for his pit stop, which was just a tenth of a second outside the Senior MGP lap record.
His advantage was now 27.422s over Wormald (120.424mph) who had 11 seconds in hand over McAleese (120.425mph).
However, an excellent pit stop by McAleese’s team slashed the deficit to Wormald to just three seconds as they began the third lap.
Stewart was untouchable on the Ducati V2 and extended his lead to 32.681s over Wormald after the third lap, who remained in a battle for the runner-up spot with McAleese.
At the beginning of the fourth and last lap, McAleese was 5.120s down on Wormald.
Stewart’s final lap of 121.062mph wrapped up an historic triumph by 35.238s from Wormald (120.724mph), who claimed the runner-up spot by 10.844s from Northern Ireland’s McAleese (120.113mph).
Monaghan (Alan Chamley/AC Racing Suzuki GSX-R750) was fourth ahead of Harley Rushton (PCR/Allspeeds Racing Kawaski 636) while Frenchman Gabriel Pons rounded out the top six on the Kart Taylor Transports Honda CBR600.
Lavery claimed seventh, with fellow newcomer Laurent Hoffmann in eighth on the Bell Bikesport/B&W Racing/Parker Transport Yamaha R6 despite receiving a penalty for speeding in pit lane.
