Wednesday evening's Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT qualifying sessions cancelled as organisers confirm Thursday contingency plan
Wednesday evening’s Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT qualifying sessions have been cancelled with heavy showers expected on the Isle of Man.
The organisers have confirmed that an afternoon contingency session on Thursday will be utilised.

Practice and qualifying took place during Wednesday afternoon’s contingency, with Classic TT competitors completing their first laps of the 2026 event around the Mountain Course.
An update from the organisers said: “This evening's qualifying sessions have been cancelled due to the forecasted heavy showers.
“There will be no further qualifying today, with no further road closures this evening once all roads have re-opened.”
Sunday’s opening session was cut short due to deteriorating weather, while Monday evening’s qualifying was cancelled altogether because of wet weather.
On Tuesday evening, qualifying was curtailed after approximately 25 minutes following a fatal red flag incident that claimed the life of Swiss rider Mauro Poncini. The remainder of the session was abandoned with limited time remaining and light beginning to fade.
