Marco Bezzecchi claims fourth successive MotoGP victory with dominant Brazilian Grand Prix win

Italian Marco Bezzecchi claimed his fourth consecutive MotoGP victory with a dominant performance at the Brazilian Grand Prix around the Autódromo Internacional de Goiania, leading every lap of the shortened 23-lap race, which had been reduced from 31 laps due to track degradation.

It was a commanding display from the new championship leader, who crossed the line 3.231 seconds clear of Aprilia team-mate Jorge Martín.

Martín secured his second podium of the weekend – and his first since his 2024 title-winning campaign – after passing the Ducatis of Marc Márquez, winner of Saturday’s sprint race, and Fabio Di Giannantonio on lap six. He then rode unchallenged to second place.

Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) got the better of Márquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) in the closing stages to take third, with Ai Ogura (Trackhouse Aprilia) and Álex Márquez (BK8 Gresini Racing) completing the top six.

“I’m very, very happy. It was a tough weekend – super tough on Friday. We started in a bad way, and it was difficult to keep the motivation high, but the team did a wonderful job,” said Bezzecchi.

"I also pushed myself to the limit to compensate. In the end, we found a way to make the bike work fantastically. I adjusted some details in my riding, and from this morning I felt better.

"I thought, ‘okay, I can fight,’ and it was an amazing race. I want to dedicate this victory to Robby (Lunadei), who unfortunately passed away last week. He was a dear friend of mine.”

In Moto2, Daniel Holgado took victory after a late-race duel with Daniel Muñoz. Holgado had controlled much of the race before Muñoz briefly snatched the lead with three laps to go.

However, the Aspar rider responded immediately, reclaiming the position a lap later and pulling clear to win by over a second. Manuel González completed the podium in third.

In Moto3, Irish rider Casey O’Gorman added to his points tally in his rookie season with SIC58 Squadra Corse, finishing ninth in a race disrupted by a red flag. The stoppage came on lap 15 following a crash for British rider Scott Ogden, who walked away unharmed, but whose bike could not be cleared in time before the leaders came round.

The restart was reduced to a five-lap sprint, with Max Quiles emerging victorious by 0.143 seconds over Aspar team-mate Marco Morelli. Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia) finished third to secure his first podium.
